Diversity at Dashlane

Founded in Paris, Dashlane prides itself on being an international company that thrives off diverse perspectives.
We recognize that our privilege as an employer allows us to work toward righting inequalities in the workplace. We’re committed to hiring a diverse community and fostering a culture where everyone is heard and belongs.

We value all aspects of diversity including gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, ethnic origin, social background, and age. We believe having a diversity of thought helps us approach problems in novel ways, opens our minds to new possibilities for our product and company, and increases our empathy for our customers and colleagues.

How is Dashlane contributing to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging?

We know that the below practices are just the start. We’re committed to building formal DEIB initiatives to foster a diverse, inclusive environment.

  • Culture committees: Our "Dashlane Life" and "Happiness" committees follow principles of inclusion by organizing different types of events so that everyone can choose something for themselves

  • KPIs and OKRs related to DEIB

  • Inclusive job descriptions

  • Compensation reviews: We combat pay inequity by reviewing and comparing compensation twice a year

  • Trainings, resources, and presentations: We aim to provide continued DEIB learning opportunities, like “Building an Inclusive Culture Through Language”

  • Company-wide communities:

    • LGBTQ+ community

    • Women's community

    • Latinx community

  • Partnerships that support our diverse communities:

    • Collaborating on events like Queer JS, Ladies of Code, and WiMLDS Paris

Celebrating Women in Cybersecurity

  • Giovanna Faso | VP of Eng Ops at Dashlane

“Although this industry has been around for quite some time, it’s interesting to see it take a new shape to solve broader and more complex needs. I do find myself thinking how cybersecurity goes beyond just making things safe, to make things easier for many people.”

  • Caroline Morchio | Head of UX at Dashlane

“We are very fortunate to be working on what is, in my opinion, one of the very few spaces left in tech which has not been reinvented through great user-centric experiences. Taking into consideration work from home and women in this new working paradigm shift, I am, myself as a woman, energized to be shaping up Dashlane as a global product which understands and honors cultural and gender nuances.”

How do we define diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at Dashlane?

Diversity is the collective mix of differences and similarities that include individual and organizational characteristics, values, beliefs, experiences, backgrounds, preferences, and behaviors, whether visible or invisible. Diversity is not about ticking a box or filling a quota—it's about the genuine belief that communities are stronger when they are composed of all kinds of people.

Equity is promoting justice, impartiality, and fairness within procedures, processes, and distribution of resources.

Inclusion builds a culture of belonging by actively inviting the contribution and participation of all people. In other words, inclusion is an active behavioral choice to create an equitable and open environment.

A sense of belonging is a concept that’s often confused with diversity and inclusion. Think of it as the emotional end goal of diversity and inclusion efforts—it's the feeling of safety and a sense of community.

A simple way to think about DEIB is:

Diversity is a fact.
Equity is a choice.
Inclusion is an action.
Belonging is an outcome.
